You can apply for your provisional driving licence 3 months before you reach your 17th birthday.
You can apply for your Theory Test as soon as you receive your provisional licence and take it on your 17th birthday if you like!
You need a copy of ‘The Highway Code’ and you should read this thoroughly if you want to increase your chances of passing your Theory Test first time. (I can lend you a copy free of charge on request).
You can practice driving with a parent, guardian, friend or sibling provided that person is 21 years old and has held a full driving licence for 3 years or more.
